Born in Middlesex, Enfield, England (Ponders End), Barb imigrated to Canada with her parents and siblings at an early age. She credits her Father as her inspiration for the ability to create and paint. Although a wildlife painter himself, he never took up the challenge professionally.
"He has a wonderful sense of humour too," says Barb of her Father, "and that is something he passed on to me and you can see it in some of my paintings." Barb also says she must credit her oldest sister Beverly for having the patience and fortitude to encourage her.
Divorced, mother of 2 and a grandmother of 3, Barb continues to burn the midnight-oil creating. Her works have broadened to include Victoria County, Durham County, and Toronto. Barb is currently working on the illustrations to her children's book which she wrote and hopes to have in book stores in the near future.
